In 1994, as part of the agreement between Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, 11,983 million cubic meters (MCM) of the Yamuna River was allocated, of which Rajasthan was allocated 1,119 mcm water annually. According to the agreement, the 22nd meeting of the Upper Yamuna River Board (URP) was held in 2001, which was decided to allocate water to Rajasthan during the rainy season (from July to October).
