Prohibition on praying, prohibit sacrifice … Restrictions on celebrating Eid in Pakistan – Pakistan Ahmadi Muslims

There have been reports of atrocities with Ahmadia Muslims in Pakistan. Now the Ahmadiya Muslims are prevented from following Islamic customs at the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCA) has asked the Punjab Police Chief to prevent Eid-ul-Azha from adopting Islamic practices and taking action against anyone violating the law. It is forbidden to provide and sacrifice the Eid Namas of the Ahmadia Muzlans.
In this regard, the LHCA has written a letter to the Inspector General of Punjab (IGP), which is only for Muslims that Eid-ul-Asha is a sacred Muslim festival.
The letter states that those who believe in other religions, especially the Ahmadas are not legally or religiously allowed to follow Islamic identities and customs.
The letter accused the people of the Ahmadia community that even though they were non -Muslims, the people of the Ahmadiya community illegally present themselves as Muslims and what is considered to be slanderous in Islam.
The Pakistani government has also demanded an affidavit from the people of the Ahmedia community, in which the community has been forcibly informed that they will not follow Muslim customs.
At the same time, in a letter to the Punjab IGP, it is reported that the Ahmediya community has been openly announced that in the event of Eid-ul-Azha, the rituals of Islamic Eid prayers and sacrifices are similar to the rituals.
5 lakh Pakistani rupees to be violated
In Pakistan, if Namaz is offered on the occasion of an Ahmadi Eid-ul-Jaha, if the animals are sacrificed or any other Islamic practices, legal action will be taken. It will impose a fine of Rs 5 lakh Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Ahmadiya Muslims are advised to submit affidavits and compensation bonds in which they are guaranteed not to celebrate Eid-ul-Ashha or its associated festival.
According to an official of the Punjab Housing Department, this rule is based on the announcement of 2023, which aims to ensure strict compliance between Section 298-B and 298 C of the Pakistan Penal Code (BBC). Under this, the religious expression of the Ahmadiya community is prohibited. This law prevents the people of the Ahmadia community to call themselves Muslims or follow Islamic customs.
Why does Pakistan not consider the Ahmed community as a Muslim?
Ahmadi Muslims consider the prophet Mohammed Saheb and his guru, Mirza Ghulam Ahmed. For this reason, Pakistan and other Muslims in the world do not view Ahmati Muslims as Muslims.
In 1974, Pakistan’s parliament declared the Ahmadia community as a non -Muslim. There are about 1 crore -Muslims in Pakistan’s population of about 24 crore. According to data published by the Pakistan Statistical Bureau by 2021, 96.47 per cent of Muslims are followed by 2.14 per cent Hindus, 1.27 per cent Christians, 0.09 per cent Ahmadia Muslims and 0.02 per cent of other minorities.
Long history of Ahmadis harassment in Pakistan
In Pakistan, the Ahmadiya community, their property and worship sites have taken place. From 2010 to April 2022, 28 incidents took place in Pakistan to damage the tomb of the people of this community.
These incidents have increased in recent years, and since 2021, there have been about 30 attacks in the worship of the Ahmadiya community. Ahmedia Muslims have filed cases for sharing the Qur’anic verses on social media.
After the death of Ahmed Muslims in Pakistan, they have no rule. In January last year, 80 graves of Ahmadia Muslims were destroyed under the pressure of Islamic fundamentalists in Dasa of Punjab. The police did this work.
Ahmadia Muslims are also prohibited from going to Haj. Like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia does not consider him a Muslim. If you go to Saudi Arabia for any Ahmadiya Haj or Umrah, you can detain him if he is caught.
