In fact, for the first time, the Litchi Special Train runs between Muzaffarpur and Mumbai. There will be 16 coaches on the Parcel Cum Passenger Special Train running from May 15. A special train departs from Muzaffarpur every day for the Lokmanya Tilak terminal of Mumbai. At the same time, 138 tonnes of Litchy is sent from this special train every day.
Farmers get time to load
Sonpur Railway Division has completed preparations for train operation. In addition to six parcel vans with a capacity of 23 tonnes, the train consists of five sleepers, two ACs and three general bogies. Since the special train is running from Muzaffarpur, farmers and traders get enough time for Litchy loading. The dedicated center is opened near the running room in the junction for booking. Also, Liche Cartons do not need to pass through the X-ray test machine. Let us tell us that the loading of 6.5,000 quintals of lichi was held last year to travel from Muzaffarpur Junction to various cities.
