However, while we discuss the need to update technical skills, a decisive component continues: developing human skills or strength skills, which are necessary to ensure effective and sustainable adaptation to new market facts.
The survey and automation radically transforms the world of work. If technical skills are necessary, they are human skills that allow professionals to distinguish between themselves, cooperate effectively and adapt to continuous changes. Without these skills, professional training risks risk workers, training workers who suffer from technology, but not for human dynamics for the future of work.
Several reports of the World Economic Forum (WEF) has identified since 2020 human skills as decisive success factors. MCKINSEY studies enhance this idea, indicating the benefits that these skills bring to both individuals and organizations.
This cooperation, which is necessary in digital and decentralized environments, includes the ability to work effectively as a team, whether from remoteness or a hybrid model, directly, on productivity and innovation. Communication becomes increasingly vital in the context of excessive information, which requires clarity, persuasion and efficiency to avoid noise and increase results.
Creativity, in turn, assumes the role of discrimination in the market where artificial intelligence (AI) automates operations, which makes it necessary to solve problems in an innovative way. The main efficiency of team leadership, stimulating employees, ensuring healthy work environments, and contributing to maintaining talents and enhancing organizational culture.
Vocational training reform cannot be limited to modifying technical curricula. It is necessary to adopt methodologies that enhance the development of these human skills. For this, it is necessary to resort to the principles of neuroscience, and to explore how to learn the brain effectively and sustainable. Active learning, through overwhelming experiences, simulation and interactive challenges, promotes keeping knowledge and practical application of acquired skills.

Diagnosis of the starting point, plans for personal interventions and evaluating the effect over time. These tools should allow continuous monitoring, allowing procedures to be planned and ensuring the compatibility of skills development with market needs and institutions.
If we want a more flexible job market for future challenges,
We need vocational training that appreciates both technical and human skills. Power skills are not complementary, but a strategic need.
Portuguese vocational training reform may be a really innovative and courageous courage to include, so far, in the background: human skills that guarantee the success of companies and individuals.
