Passenger movement increased by 25% in Q1 at Gurdaro Airport

Following its rapid growth, the Qurataro International Airport (QRO) saw 25% more passengers in the first quarter of 2025 compared to last year.

In January, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communication and Transportation (SICT) rose by 29.2% of QR passengers, followed by a growth of 18.8% in February and 26.8% in March.

In domestic passenger transport, 34.9% of QR Q1 recorded an annual growth. In contrast, international passenger traffic has increased 7.1%.

March, especially in the previous years, saw the record number of passengers, which moved a total of 190,322. It has since become a thrilling parade of the airport since 2006.

The domestic journey represented 70% of aircraft taken from Quardaro between January and March, which was 64.9% in the same period of 2024, and the percentage of international travel was 35.1%.

However, the overall air operations in the QR, which includes non -aircraft functions, are 6.4% lower than 2024, with 12,094 air operations. This decline is primarily operated by a significant decline in airborne activities in February (30.3%).

In the first trimester of the QRO, 18,486.9 tonnes of cargo moved, reflecting an increase of 4%. Meanwhile, in March, the amount of freight grew by 27% per year.

QO welcomes the number of international flights that are increasing when the government is over 80 million-Beso Extension Plan At the airport in December 2023. These new locations include the relentless Qurtaro-Matrid aircraft directed by Spanish airline Ibergett, Starting in October this year.

Qurtaro Tourism Minister Marco Antonio Dell Bred Terzero recently announced a new direct flight between California, Curro and Los Angeles, starting in July. He added that the airport is currently in talks with Panama’s Copa Airlines on the ongoing relentless way between Qurtaro and Panama City.
