Unlock to the toy architect “passion for movement” and smiles
It is possible to see 500 toys created by Virginio Moutinho at the Matosinhose Architecture House until October and participate in workshops for wood, metal and recycle materials.
Matosinhose Architecture House reveals hundreds of mechanical toys built in the last 40 years by Virginio Moutinho. As of October, there are also workshops connected to wood, metal and recycled materials.
Do you know those kids to find out how to work? Virginio Moutinho is one of them.
She was born 73 years ago, and she spent her days at her father’s workshop, and she never collected to re -creating the dolls.
“I am in love with the movement. The movement is interested in me. That’s why I am in the pieces I do, engines and levers are always in sight.”
The pieces of Virginio Moutinho serve as a kind of ‘smile’, with toys and fantasies in the world ‘Mexican Hola’, especially digital:

Dolls are exposed until October at the House of Architecture of Matosinhose. The Higher School of Fine Arts of Porto in 1976 had more than 500 pieces from the architect of the architect formed in 1976.
“The objects collected here are undoubtedly arising from the first experiences that are connected to the traditional toys of the 80s. Then they evolve to the artistic state of art objects, close to the art of sculpture and kinetic art (…) The narrative and coordination of the entire work is this playful, they are all theatrical objects.”
Exhibition is a headache for managers, the temptation to realize how they work, it must be locked:
“In each table, in each set, there are many acres that people can see moving parts, can be reversed, (…) the mechanism can be enjoyed closely, but can also be seen by the videos to transmit this desire.”
Managers’ concerns add a pain to hardening in the mind of Varganio Moutinho, with the passage of years:
“I do not want to leave it as a problem for my daughters, because they don’t even know how to move some things. I tell you to calculate one’s interest, the architecture house is a special place, a kind of fun machine or a kind of fun mechanics, which is not the source of exposure.”
The presentation of the doors now may be the lever of a wide project around the toys of Virginio Moutinho. In addition to the display, many of the architects of the architect are known as the ‘Deaconstruction’ workshops and architecture’s house called “The Invention of the Extraordinary”.
