Meerut Development Program – above: 15,000 crore mega development project for Meerut, CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed – Rs.

The Uttar Pradesh government has produced a ‘Vikas Yojana’ for about Rs 15,000 crore for the development of Meerut. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the project on Monday. The purpose of this development project is to make Meerut a smart and clean city. Under this development program, 6 out of 93 projects have been started.

Meerut was identified by being close to the freedom struggle, sports industry, education and Delhi-NCR. Chief Minister Yogi said the city would be transformed into the best center of sports, education, culture and business. He has provided instructions to eliminate traffic congestion, install digital holes and to install CCTV cameras in the entire city.

Under this development plan, special attention will be paid to sewage treatment in household debris, revival of rivers and natural ways.

The development plan focuses on six main subjects

  • Construction of public places and walking worth roads.
  • Excellent managing traffic.
  • The development of environmental and social amenities.
  • Improving industrial and residential structures.
  • The safety and redesign of traditional sites.
  • Increase cleanliness and greenery in each part of the city.

This project will be completed in three phases – amidiat, medium and long. The target is set to complete 41 projects in the first year. Currently, Meerut has about 23 lakhs of population. By 2041, the population is expected to increase to about 33.5 lakhs.

The Chief Minister has reviewed projects such as Delhi-Merete Expressway, dedicated freight corridor, Western Ring Road, Smart Roads, Quick Train, Ganga Highway Highway and Reinstalling of Key Crosss. In addition, the importance of the beauty of Sanjay Van, Surajkund, Theme Park, pond and historical sites was also given.
