When he applied for a Pakistan visa, Malhotra contacted a PAC officer named Danish in 2023 and met him several times at the Pakistan Embassy in Delhi. His stay in Pakistan was organized by a person named Ali Ahwan, who is said to be associated with Pakistan intelligence agencies.

Jyoti Malhotra is very active on social media and has shared many videos related to Pakistan. He has 3.77 lakh followers on the YouTube channel and 1.33 lakh followers on Instagram. Police are investigating their financial transactions, travel details and other suspicious activities.

After the issue came to light, the Odisha police have also launched an investigation because Jyoti Malhotra contacted a local YouTube of September 2024 during the arrival of Puri.
