Porto de Aviro launched a public tender for “Intermodal” with a value of 16 million euros
Aveiro has launched an international general tender for the construction of a “multimedia station” in the field of logistical and industrial activities (ZALI), a “strategic project”, which includes an investment of about 16 million euros.

The work is expected to start “by the end of the year” to provide the Aveiro port “with an increase in operational efficiency in addition to enhancing environmentally responsible transportation, in line with the goals of national and European greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector.
The construction of a “multimedia station” has accredited financing by linking the Europe facility (CEF2), under the double financing line, with an amount of 7.6 million euros, which corresponds to the accredited support rate of 47.3 %.
»With an area of 10 hectares, the station will be equipped with a railway station prepared for the trains of up to 750 meters, which enhances the railway connection in the port of Aveiro. “This infrastructure aims to improve the Porto railway connection with the north and central Portugal, as well as strengthening ties with the areas of Castile, Liu and Madrid in Spain,” explains Porto de Aveiro;
