Cabildo invests approximately 5 million euros to improve access to housing in Fuerteventura
Projects are considering 176 new housing housing for social rent and rehabilitation of 581 other homes
The president of Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Lola García, today highlighted the fixed commitment by Al -Jazeera Housing Corporation: “An investment currently reaches approximately 5 million euros through different agreements to build social positive housing as a rehabilitation.”

Lula Garcia made it clear that the Cabildo de Fuerteventura municipality bet on the home in various lines of work. First, the creation of VPO housing for social rent, through agreements that allow the construction of 176 homes in urban lands.
In this way, Cabildo calms 1.6 million euros, which will be transferred to ICAVI to build 176 homes in the streets of Berngal, Rosa Villa and Kaley Don Quixot in Puerto del Rosario, as well as Corleo in the municipality of La Oliva. These projects also receive funding from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agency through NextGration, while municipalities pledge to contribute to the land where the above promotions will be built.
In the event of housing rehabilitation, Fuerteventura Cabildo 3.1 million euros is allocated within the projects of residential rehabilitation environments (ERP), in agreement with the municipalities and the government of the Canary Islands. An agreement part of the housing rehabilitation program in the Canary Islands, within the plan for recovery, transformation and flexibility that is funded by the money of the next generation. These agreements allow the rehabilitation of 581 homes in the Viejo de Corralejo and Cotillo helmet, as well as in the nineties and 91 homes in Porto del Rosario. There are already projects to rehabilitate housing in Valley de Santa Innis in the municipality of Betancoria, La Oliva and Fabelo in Porto del Rosario with the contribution of nearly 6,000,000 euros from Capeldo.
