Cyprus and Israel’s submarine wants to install the quick electrical connection via Cable, but Turkey opposes
AdvertisementCyprus and Israel are trying to install an electrical connection with a submarine cable, Cypriad said that they would eliminate their energy isolation.
Minister of Energy George Babanastaso said Israel is especially interested in ensuring that the country is supplying to the country to provide ciprodic energy reserves from regular and renewable sources.
Bananastasi told AB that the ability to generate about four gigawat electricity from the fossil fuels and solar and air sources would soon be up to 0.5 gigawat.
Wind turbine and light -hearted energy generate 1 gigawat electricity, but licenses are expelled to create fresh air and solar power parks capable of 2.8 Gigawat.
Regular fuels produce 1.4 gigawat.
The general commitment to install the cable’s electrical connection was confirmed on Sunday after a day visited Israel and Ramallah on the West Bank after an OU Lights talks with Cypriyad President Nikos Christoda OU Lights with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The two leaders have said that the geographical location of the two countries will be shown as a natural gateway between Europe and the Middle East.
In terms of this geographical benefit, Babanastasio said the two leaders agreed to investigate the potential benefits of creating a trade, energy and digital connection between India, the Middle East and Europe.
The corridor, also known as the Indo-Mudo East-Rob (IMEC) economic corridor, was awarded at the G20 summit, which will be held in India by 2023.
Netanyahu said that he had spoken recently with his Indian opponent Narendra Modi about the IMEC and said, “The most revolutionary and transformation we want to implement.”
On the other hand, the electric cable project is already underway to connect Greece with Cyprus.
The Great Cheese International (GS) worth 1.94 billion is somewhat funded by the EU and is priced at 800 million euros.
Progress was delayed due to Turkish objections in the cable site.
Turkey says that the project cannot progress without its permission, because the cable passes through the water, according to the country, in its jurisdiction.
