Idolisades 2025 – Big Technical Competition
The largest technical competition, The Idolisons, is due to the eleventh version, as it celebrates talent, creativity and community spirit for the elderly.
It is promoted by the municipality of ílhavo, in partnership with the municipality of Albargia-Afifia, this initiative includes more than 1,200 participants from institutions, societies, higher universities and associations from the municipalities, Olivira.

Over the years, IDolisons has strengthened themselves as a reference project in enhancing cities cooperation, enhancing relations between societies and encouraging active participation of the senior population in various technical expressions. In addition to the cultural influence, the initiative plays an important social role, stimulating the participation of the elderly through art and culture, with the support of social technicians.
This year’s release begins on April 9, at 14 hours, at Cinteatro Alba, in Albargia-Afila, with proof of culture and public poetry. At this early stage, seven teams will compete in the first place, indicating poetic knowledge and talent.
The second moment is on May 23, at Casa Da Cultura de ilhavo, where participants will present music/dance and/or theater (evidence of theater), photography and plastic art, is evaluated by a jury. Photography will be tested, open to the audience, between May 8 and 22, through the Facebook “Age – Municipality íLhavo” page, allowing society to also participate in this celebration.
This year, tests will be allocated to the topic of “rewind”, with the exception of proof of general culture. The winners of the stage will have the opportunity to return to their artistic performance at the Prankos Poetry Festival, which will be held in July.
The idol continues to confirm themselves as an innovative and inspiring project, and enhances active aging and the inclusion and value of higher talents through art. More than one competition, this initiative is a real celebration of life and culture between generations.
