Cotton: Polyester fiber replaces cotton? A lot of questions have arisen about cotton cultivation

Cotton consumption in the country has decreased compared to the previous one and the cause of the fiber made by humans in industries is more important. In the last one year, cotton consumption declined by two percent. This is a matter of concern for farmers, especially farmers who cultivate cotton as a cash crop. If fiber demand increases compared to cotton, then cotton farmers will get a big shock in the future.

In recent years, cotton cultivation has become very challenging, in which farmers are facing losses. The spread of Pink Sundi is wasted on a large scale. Apart from this, farmers should struggle for the right rate. For this reason, the area of cotton cultivation is decreasing and farmers are turning to other alternative crops. On the other hand, the fiber made by humans in industry has now been given importance, which will reduce the demand for cotton in the coming days. The decline in demand also reduces its production.

CAI gave information on cotton

The CAI has estimated 33 lakhs of imports for the 2024-25 season, which is 17.8 lakh lumps last year. Cotton mills slowly

Increasing use of fiber made by Humans such as CAI President Atul Ganatra, Viscose and Polyester is mainly by rotating mills in South India. Speaking to Ganatra’s ‘Business Line’, the lack of workers is that the spinning mills are slowly running and cotton consumption is reduced.

Gantram said that 98 percent of the mills in the viscos are getting better results and the cotton is 73/75 %. The mills move from cotton to another, which affects the consumption.
