The British High Court has rejected the bail plea of the Diamond Businessman and Punjab National Bank (PNP), the main accused in the Rs 13,000 crore fraud case. The court dismissed the bail plea and said that Indian intelligence agencies have not yet discovered the extent of the scam. Aj Thak has a copy of the court’s decision, in which Neew Modi was denied bail. The court refers to several important points in its ten -page detailed order, which on the basis of this, the judge refused to grant bail to the businessman who fled.

The UK Judge Kings Bench Divisional Court has ruled that $ 600 million (about Rs 5,150 crore), which was deceived by Neev Modi, has not yet been identified by Indian investigators.

‘The accused wants to avoid returning to India’

In a court order, the judge said, ‘The most important issue is that the applicant (Neew Modi) has a strong encouragement to avoid returning to India. He will try to avoid handing over Indian companies in every possible way. This incentive arises from the following facts: he wants to face a case in India in the case of the most serious and major economic crimes, in which he is said to be the main guilty. Its intensity is in three aspects: (i) the form of crime, (ii) its role, and (III) potential punishment. ‘Bhaktan’

Risk of escape: UK court

The court further stated that Neev had been in jail for the past six years and 2 months, which would be calculated during his sentence. But considering the severity of the crime he committed, this period does not reduce the risk of their escape. At this level I am not going to a detailed explanation of the allegations. I have provided reference to the previous four conclusions of this court, and from which it can achieve the relevant background.

‘600 million dollars don’t know’

The court has provided detailed information on the amount of fraud in its judgment. The court said that at the US $ 1,015.35 million, which was transferred under the scam by Neew Modi, only $ 405.75 million has been found in accounts that spread worldwide. The remaining $ 600 million (about Rs 5,150 crore) has not yet been detected.

The judge said, “This difference shows that Nirav Modi may have a huge financial resources, which will help him escape.”

‘Water has enormous wealth’

The court also referred to a company called Diamond Holdings Limited, which has been appointed as the CEO of Neev Modi, where he received £ 20 thousand each month. Subsequently, the company offered millions of pounds for bail.

The court questioned the company to offer 0.5 million pounds in March 2019, then 1 million pounds after 9 days, 2 million pounds in May 2019 and 4 million pounds in November 2019. The judge said that this Kirkenge Nirav shows the biggest financial resources available with Modi.

Neeve has destroyed the sources and server combustion

The court said in its judgment that evidence of Neev also mentioned in Indian criminal activities. It is said that Nirav played a role in influencing witnesses and destroying evidence. In March 2018, fake directors were taken from Dubai to Cairo, their mobile phones were destroyed and a computer server in Dubai was destroyed in February 2018.

The court said the incidents took place when Neev was in the UK. The UK courts have twice confirmed that there is evidence of Prima Fasi against water.

‘I refuse to give bail’

In his judgment, the judge refuses to grant him bail in this regard, with all the ideas and reasons in mind, and in this case I reject the bail application in this case.

Neev is in the 2019 jail

Let us tell you that Neev Modi was arrested in the UK in 2019, and then Indian authorities are trying to hand over his India. In 2021, the then UK Home Secretary Preeti Patel approved Modi’s handing over to Modi. Since then, Neev Modi has tried to seek bail from the UK courts on several occasions, but he failed because Indian agencies have been presented in court during the protests against his bail.
