Gaza’s medical infrastructure, destroyed in the Israeli attack, look at the story of extinction in statistics

‘We have seen this many times- it should not be allowed to walk again.’ World Health Organization President made this painful invitation on May 20 in a statement on the collapse of Gaza. The Palestinians in Gaza have no place to take shelter- there is not even in hospitals where Israel has properly attacked. These attacks have already weakened the weak health system of Gaza, thus reaching the edge of the slope.

The Director of the World Health Organization General Tetros Adanom Gepreasus said, “The last hospital, the last hospital, which provides important services including neurological surgery, cardiovascular care and cancer treatment, will no longer function after the May 13 attack.

Lack of basic amenities

49 HST is exactly or somewhat or partially working, and only six per cent of ICU beds is available, and at 18 per cent, ICU beds are available. The same situation is also in maternity beds, ie delivery beds. Only eight percent of people have a full -fledged maternity bed, while 16 percent, maternity beds are somewhat available. Only 16 percent of them have an emergency room.

Electricity supply is essential in hospitals and medical units. But only 29 percent of medical units are fully available. Some power is available at 65 percent. Cold chains are also important because of these, because of these, the proper storage of vaccines is done. Gaza has only a cold chain of 35 percent of medical units, and at 33 percent, 32 percent does not have the structure of cold chains.

Gaza’s Government Hospital, Field Hospital or Medical Unit has no magnetic resonance imaging or MRI service. Only five percent of the service is to treat burns, 32 per cent of the basic x -ray facilities, 25 per cent of Tomography or CT scan services, and only 15 per cent blood banks are available.

Israel has banned medical supply, food shortage and lack of water for children there.

Israel has justified its action that Hamas is using hospitals for military operations such as weapons. Israeli officials said the Gaza European Hospital was attacked on May 13, as Hamas leaders were hidden in the underground bunkers built there.
