Jodhpur Divisional Railway Manager (TRMS) Anurag Tripathi gave this information in a conversation with news agency IANS.
Will be ready this year
The depot is being built at a cost of Rs. It spreads into an area of 600 meters and has three railways, which can maintain three Vante Bharat trains at once. The depot will be ready by the end of this year and will be the center of maintaining Bharat trains from all over the country.
The first depot should be built in Jodhpur
Wande India is the first semi -speed train in India and its number across the country. Until now they are maintained in the old depot, but this special depot built in Jodhpur will eliminate confusion. It is unique to itself and has modern features. Four more Bharat depots are being built in the country, but Jodhpur’s depot will be ready first.
Workshop and Training Center will also be built
With this project, a new workshop and training center will be built at a cost of Rs 200 crore, said DRM Tripathi. The proposal of this workshop has been sent for approval and its tender process will begin soon. It is near the workshop depot, where employees will be trained to maintain Vande Bharat trains.
Increase employment opportunities
The recruitment of employees for new depots and workshops will be through the Railway Recruitment Board, which will increase employment opportunities at the local level. This will not only strengthen the railway infrastructure, but also increase the quality and reliability of Wande India trains. The depot, which has modern techniques, will make the maintenance of trains more efficiently. The project will increase the importance of the Jodhpur Railway Division, and it will set a new record on the country’s railway services.
