In fact, the case is associated with the Haridwar Municipal Corporation, of which a land of Rs 14 crore has been purchased for 54 crores. After the complaint, the investigation was held after the order of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami. Secretary Ranveer Chauhan inquired about the issue in the Uttarakhand government. Chauhan Thane went to Haridwar and inquired about the matter and submitted a report on 100 pages to the government, after which the move was taken.

The government has suspended a total of 12 officers, including two IAS and one PCS officer in this case. According to the investigation report, the process of the land purchased was initiated at the price of agricultural lands, but eventually it was purchased at the business rate. In this case, the land committee has not even been formed, the report reported that the entire operation of the STM 143 has been completed in just 2 to 3 days, and handed over revenue to its steno to resolve the file in advance. This process was not only rapid, but the rules were ignored.

Senior Officers Fallen:

Suspicious role in allowing Karmendra Singh (TM, Haridwar) to buy land and administrative approval.

Varun Chaudhry (former Municipal Commissioner, Haridwar) passed a resolution without practice and played a role in financial abuse.

Ajiser Singh (PCS, STM): Disregarding the inspection and verification, causing a false statement reaching the government.

The three officials were promptly implemented from their positions and a sector investigation has been launched.
