Sikradi Neutures Carbon Emissions for 2023 and 2024
Sikredi has the neutralization of carbon emissions Produced by its operations in 2023 and 2024. Initiative compensation 31,784 tons By support for six carbon credit projects in five areas of Brazil.
Five of these projects replace fossil fuels with renewable biomass in ceramics and brick production. The sixth project works in the reduction of methane released by swine waste. All actions follow international audit and verification standards.
These programs are focused on reducing steady development and environmental impacts part of Sikradi’s strategy. According to the company, projects also benefit local societies.
In 2024, Sikredi extended efforts to measure and reduce emissions of their financial activities. In the first quarter, the company joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), which promotes authentication in the evaluation and spread of emissions associated with loans and investment.
With this, the production portfolio emissions counting for 2023 has already been completed and in the coming months, the 2024 measurement begins. The company also invests in eco -efficiency measures, such as the use of electricity from renewable sources, which represent more than 35% of the total consumption by 2024.
