INSS: Dead beneficiaries deserve compensation for discounts | The economy
The National Institute of Social Security (INS) has reported that retirement and pensioners who have been exposed to unnecessary deductions from March 2020 to March 2025 will be requested to pay back.
According to INSS, the deceased pensioners who depend on the family or beneficiaries or have unnecessary deductions, should schedule facial services in a social security organization by Call Center 135 to prove the bond with the beneficiary. After proof, the request for protection and reimbursement should be made by the “My INSS” application or again by the call center.

- If there are discounts, indicate whether they have authority or
- Enter your email and contact phone
- Declare the data provided to be true
- Click “Send Statements”
The government informs the unions responsible for unnecessary discounts and up to 15 working days to show the documentation that proves the authority of the beneficiary discount. If they are unable to prove, they have another 15 working days to return the values to INSS. After reimbursement, this amount is sent to the beneficiary’s account or to his legal heirs.
Tens of thousands of families are expected to return the amount that is not collected properly.
