Inspection holds the secret grain port in Barcarena; City Hall blocks illegal structure | The economy

A. Barkerena City Hall in Belem Metropolitan area blocked the secret ports of grains working in the surrounding Sao Francisco neighborhood. The Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Development (SEND) found an irregular structure during a normal operation on Monday (22) night, with the support of the inspection department (Defis) and the Attorney General Office (PGM).
According to information released by the City Hall, the structure, which served as a “mobile port”, received irregular grains and departed, using an anchored ferry in an inaccurate area and disagreeing with the municipal master plan.
“The city of Barkerena works hard to ensure the economic development of the municipality is legitimate, responsible and steady. This compromise is not only the environment but also the security and the local economy,” said Mayor Renato Ogawa.
After the discovery of the secret port, the company responsible for the area has a land use and professional license, while the company owner has been filed to operate by the owner of a banned area and breaking previous environmental sanctions.
