Participants in the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum are also advised to use local currencies in transactions with groups of groups. Trump, who has already threatened to put rates if the dollar is no longer prioritized, has criticized the move.
“We highlight the importance of the extended use of local currencies in commercial and economic compensation among the BRICS countries and their business partners. We encourage effective authorities to explore the problem of local currencies, as well as equipment and payment platforms.”
The International Parliamentary event was held from Tuesday (3) to this Thursday and 16 delegates participated. This week has frozen the House and Senate activities.
The consensus and guidelines of the forum will be consolidated in the document that will be sent to the Bricks Leaders Summit in Rio de Janeiro on July 6 and 7.
