Wheat Collection: Can collect 30 million wheat, know the situation of the states

The government’s collection of wheat in MSP in many states across the country is still ongoing. But the total purchase is expected to be less than 30 million tonnes (300 lakh tonnes). In fact, the procurement process in three major wheat production states- Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana have stopped and there is no chance of a significant increase in the ongoing purchase in Uttar Pradesh. This process will also stop in June. Until May 25 this year, 29.78 million tonnes of wheat collection was recorded nationwide, with 26.27 metric tonnes of wheat last year. The purchase was 13.4 percent higher than the previous year and the highest in the last four years.
MP-amazing bonus in Rajasthan
This time, in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, farmers are more interested in selling wheat in government centers, as the two state governments have paid a bonus of Rs 155 per quintal and Rs 150 per quintal and a minimum support price (MSP) for Quintal (MSP). At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture is now expected to issue a third prior assessment of crops soon. Earlier, it released the second prior estimate in March, in which the wheat production was estimated at 115.43 million tonnes. However, in the third estimate, the government can edit it and make it more than 117 million tonnes.
Purchase continued until May 15 in Punjab-Haryana
According to the Business Line report, a fixed duration in Punjab and Haryana was collected from April 1 to May 15. The Punjab government estimates that 18 million tonnes of wheat will be produced in the state. However, according to Procurement Agencies, the arrival of 13.01 million wheat has been recorded.
