The intervention in the historical building on Santa Joanna Street will cost 651,936 euros, a 180 -day execution period.
The project expects maintenance work, while maintaining the properties and services of housing space at the level of the first floor, current exhibitions and operation at the ground floor level, “but with improving their functions and improving access conditions.”
At the level of the attic floor, “the goal is to cancel the housing spaces (kitchen and health installation) and do the maintenance process mainly, leaving the spaces for the arrangement.”
The endeavor includes “deeper intervention in coverage and rainwater drainage system, to reduce infiltration problems on this floor and from the lower floors:”
The project also provides a processing process, which will include limestone treatment and cement removal.
Historical area
The building was combined in the introduction that joins the Aveiro / Santa Joana Museum, which was installed in the Monastery of Jesus from the Dominican system, which was founded in 1458, providing various four -century representative architectural methods. This group also includes Aveiro See, which is why it maintains the maximum original characteristics, regarding its history.
