This irrigation project begins in Chhattisga after 45 years, and 5000 farmers will benefit directly
Peachardi Irrigation Project: The irrigation project of Chhattisga HT will begin again after 45 years. Its name is the Piprappedi Irrigation Project. The irrigation project in Madeli village in Gariaband district has been closed for several decades. But now it is cleared the way to start again. State Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has issued an order in this regard. The Chief Minister has ordered to start and complete soon. With the launch of this project, more than 5000 farmers in Madeli Village and its surrounding areas will benefit directly. These farmers are able to get water for agriculture. It also increases their cultivation yields and increases earnings.
The irrigation project was launched in 1977 by building a dam on the Ghangutti Canal, thus getting irrigation facilities to the surrounding villages. However, due to the implementation of forest law in 1980, the work stopped, for which the environment was not cleaned. Since then, the project has been incomplete for decades, which has hurt the hopes of local farmers here.
Accepts the Center Project
Recently, the central government has given environmental permission to the project. After this, the Chief Minister Sai officially announced his re -UME on the occasion of ‘Good Governance Tihar Samadhi camp’. “It is not just a project, but a success of peasant struggle, patience and hope. This is a good rule of Tihar – brings real changes in people’s lives.”
Once the project is completed, farmers get permanent irrigation facilities, increase crop yields and promote financial status. The farmers of the area, which have been dependent on rain for years, are now expecting continuous water supply. The project is also seen as an important step for the strong development of the region.

However, it is still big challenges to complete the work of this irrigation project on time and to ensure that all eligible farmers are benefited. Local people think that the announcement of the Chief Minister SAI will become a true act and that the water will eventually reach their fields – not limited to papers.
