The Professor said Trump’s plan to carry Russia from China to “lap”
Donald Trump’s attempt to separate Russia from China has been repeated since January, according to the Reserve Colonel Leonardo MatosGeopolitics Professor at Naval War School. In an interview CNNMatos analyzed the president’s strategy and its implications in the current geopolitical scenario.
According to experts, Trump’s plan to take Russia out of China’s lap is actually impossible. “The relationship between Russia, especially Putin and G Jinping, is very strong,” Matos explained, highlighting the view of the alliance between the two countries.
Trump seems to have changed his policy, facing the integrity of his initial plan. Matos cited two recent two recent movements that represent this change: A critical mineral contract with Ukraine and approval of new weapons to the country.

The expert insists that the benefits of Russia and Ukraine are different in this conflict. While the Russia is trying to proceed in the East Front, Ukraine sees the ceasefire as an opportunity to receive the rear and new weapons supply from the United States.
Matos remembered Europe’s arrangement with Zelensky, strengthening the help of Ukraine. This international support adds another layer of complexity to the already complex geographical political scenario with Russia, China, the United States and Europe.
