The Maharashtra government sterilizes the monkey-dangers! There is destruction in agriculture

Now in the coastal regions of Maharashtra, farmers are eating tragedy with monkeys, longors and wild boars. In such a situation, the state forest minister said that effective measures would be taken to stop crop loss. Forest Minister Ganesh Nayak held a meeting on Wednesday to address the problems faced by local farmers due to wild animals in Dapoli taluk in Ratnagiri district.

Long -term solution requirements: Minister of Forest

He said that the state government is considering the proposal to control the monkeys and linkers of the Konkan region and create a center for sterilization to prevent crop loss from them. A statement quoted by Naik said that the growing difficulties in Konkan, especially by the monkeys and the longors, were inspired to find long -term prevention solutions. We are currently reviewing the proposal to build sterilization centers to control their population in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts.

Compensation is not a permanent solution: Nayak

The minister said that the current policy for compensation for crop loss due to these animals is not a permanent solution. Nayak said we should implement permanent measures to prevent such loss in the future. Wilded pork, monkeys and Languours have not only damaged crops in Dapoli but also begin to enter villages and homes.

There is no shortage of money in implementing actions

He said such infiltration was a serious threat to the livelihood of local farmers. The minister assured that there would be no shortage of funds to implement long -term measures. He said that the government was committed to protecting agriculture and allocated the necessary funds to prevent the damage done by wildlife. Farmers should be allowed to use guns within legal limits to protect their crops from wild boars.

Minister Nayak also spoke on the weapon license

In the past, some farmers in Konkan were issued guns for this purpose, but many of them were suspended later. According to NAIK, suggestions have been issued to the Ratnagiri district collector to review these licenses and restore them where possible. At the meeting, he also agreed to the demand for pre -compensation for the inclusion of losses from SAI in the crop loss and compensation scheme. He said these concerns were seriously considered.
