The afternoon river: This monsoon season begins to flow again in the river in the afternoon! Most villages benefit from irrigation

The Noon River, which has been facing a long time in the Bundel Khand area of Uttar Pradesh, is ready to return to the last place in the past. The river, which comes out of Saja village in the coach development block, has long been considered. But now it is being restored. Due to systematic protection and rising agricultural occupation, the river has been drying up for years and leaving a large part of the submerged and unused land. But after completely renewed, it is expected that there will be about 2,800 hectares of agricultural land in 47 villages from noon. It promotes agricultural productivity, people get clean drinking water and get food for cattle and wildlife.
Restored a 20 -kilometer share of the river
Recently, DM Rajesh Kumar Pandey, who visited the village of Sheikhpura, has directed local block development officials to increase the task of raising the silt and deploying more people. The 20 -kilometer river has already been restored and the rest of the monsoon will be completed in the first week of July, the DM said. The potential effect of the project is important.
Spread up to 87 km in the afternoon river
Harikishore Patel, the head of the Surface village, said that the river drainage was flooded independently after the river canal and natural water springs in the afternoon, but over time, it began to cultivate the land around it and there was no place to go to the water. We have a stable marsh instead of the river. In the afternoon the river dried up a short distance from its mouth to 87 km and 40 km.
Thousands of acres of farmland sank and barren
Due to the collapse of the ecosystem, thousands of acres of agricultural land sank and began to disappear the water for drinking, drinking and irrigation, which was worsened by the plight of the people. At the beginning of 2019, steps were taken to restore the river, in which steps were taken to stop the flow of rainwater and started the district administration’s silt in 2021.
PM Modi Mon Ki Baat in Baat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised these efforts at his monthly mind address in November 2021. District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey and Water Electricity Minister Swantra Dev Singh organized a series of village chuhopals (gram councils) in the affected areas and gave a platform to suggest solutions to farmers.
More than 300 people assembled
DM Rajesh Kumar Pandey said that the restoration of the river in the afternoon is not only the priority of the environment- it is necessary for the existence of this area. On April 13, 2025, a hoon was symbolic of the villagers to clean the Singh and Pandey River. Since then, the movement has been embroiled in the moment, the locals have been united on this issue and offer to remove and clean the silt from the bottom of the river.
So far, more than 300 people participated in an attempt to restore the river. Shankar Singh, the head of Maheva village, said people were working day and night. He said that the Noon River had dried up near the cooker and its water went into the Abduni River through a contaminated canal. Now, we hope to restore a clean, continuous flow.
