Technology helps farmers in crop loss in Maharashtra after Madhya Pradesh, learn how to help farmers

But now, in both of these methods, crop loss is estimated at a single stage. It should be implemented as an experiment from January 1, 2025. But it was postponed due to opposition from some ministers. Now three months later, it is decided to provide technical assistance to the farmers.
Maharashtra on the route of Madhya Pradesh
Currently, NDVI helps Madhya Pradesh farmers for crop loss. A study group in the state was formed, which was given the responsibility of knowing how much damage to natural disaster farmers with technical help. The same team recommended the implementation of the Pilot project in the NDVI, VCI, AVI, Savi, Marathawada, Vidarbha, West Maharashtra and Khandesh districts. The group recommended that it be implemented for crop loss during the 2025-26 Kharif season.

In December 2024, the Standard Standard Viribility Vegetation Index (SAVI) was approved in the state, in which crop loss is available with the help of satellite images. The project is said to be about one crore rupees. NDVI can get information about how the crop situation is in the state. On February 24, 2024, crop loss from all natural disasters, except drought, was decided with the help of NDVI.
