Sunflower collection: Surajukhi purchase starts in Haryana from June 1, Find out how much MSP

Wheat, gram and mustard government procurement is currently underway in Haryana. But now the Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Department will soon start buying sunflower in MSP. Sunflower will be collected from June 1 to June 30 for Rabi Marketing Season 2025-26. The state government has issued a statement that 17 people have been opened in the state for the purchase of sunflower. The government provides a minimum support price of Rs 7,280 per quintal on sunflower.

According to the Haryana Agriculture and Farmerers Welfare Department, the state is likely to produce 44,062 metric tonnes of sunflower flower this year. Two collections of Haryana Hafed and Haryana warehouse corporation will collect the sun. Ambala City, Ambala Cant, Baraa, Mulana, Shahzadpur, Saha, Narayanja H, Karnal, Ismailbad, Thhalzar, Thhal, Shahbad, Ladwa, Baban, HAN NSA, Barawala (District Panchakula) in 17 Mandi in the state for the purchase of Sunflower.
1267.49 granted for agricultural-gagal
1267.49 crore was sanctioned for the year 2025-26 to promote agriculture and horticulture in Haryana. The amount was approved at the State Level Approval Committee meeting at the Prime Minister’s National Agricultural Development Scheme (PMKVY) chaired by general secretary Anurag Rastogi.

The committee also approved the annual action plan of Krisoni Yojana for the year 2025-26. Rs.47.97 crores for the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission, Rs.24.17 crores for the national mission on edible oils, Rs.6.00 crores for seed (seed and planting material), Rs.38.15 crores for the development of agricultural extension (Soul Scheme) and Rs.
Work is done to improve the groundwater level
The Department of Agriculture and the Farmers’ Welfare Department will take important steps to address the serious problem of groundwater level decline in the state by prioritizing the on-form water management under PM-RKvy. In major districts such as Karnal, Kaital, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonipat and Yamunanagar, this initiative proves that the initiative is effective to deal with the lack of groundwater.
Also focus on natural farming
Other major projects are to set up vegetable-concentrated integrated agricultural samples under natural agriculture, establishing sophisticated laboratory facilities for fruit fly trap and setting up research and training centers for mechanization from first to end. In addition, the Central Mushroom Unit will be set up in the Karnal and Regional Research Center (RRS).
