Sugarcane Payment: Notice for 6 sugar mills that hang sugarcane payment, instructions for recovery
The Uttar Pradesh Yogi government has intensified the sugar mills to pay the dues of sugarcane farmers. To this end, State Sugarcane Commissioner Pramod Kumar has issued recovery certificates on Sugar Mill Barkeda-Pilibit, Maqsdapur-Shahjahanpur, Baheedi and Nawabganj-Bareili, Kundukur-Gandhi and Malkpot-Bagpat sugar mills. The sugar cane commissioner said the sugar mills were sought to be paid as soon as possible. But he did not pay the cane price on time after the instructions.
Payment supervision at level level
Sugarcane and Chinese Commissioner Pramod Kumar Upadhyay said the price of sugarcane farmers in the state was highly prioritized by the government. For the payment of sugarcane, continuous monitoring is underway from the premises and headquarters level. At the same time, the premises and district cane authorities have been given instructions for strict measures on sugar mills that are negligent in payment. He said that in the order of the recovery certificate issued, the relevant district administration could recover like land revenue dues, which would help farmers pay the price of sugar cane.
65 sugar mills made a full payment
He informed that the payment process has increased due to the instructions given for the payment of quick cane prices by sending review meetings and notices for the payment of residual cane price. In the crushing session, 2024-25 and 65 sugar mills in 122 sugar mills paid 100 % sugar cane.
At the same time, 22 sugar mills have paid 84 percent of the sugarcane price for farmers. Sugarcane commissioner said that the payment of sugarcane prices was maintained at the headquarters at the headquarters level. The sugar cane rebuilding can also be considered for the upcoming crushing session of sugar mills, which are negligent in the payment of sugarcane.
Pesticides are available at a lower price
