Sugar production news: India and Brazil countries have left other parts of the world in Chinese production. Sugar production is likely to increase internationally in the 2025-26 marketing year from October. According to the US Agriculture Department (USDA), this increase can help replace the European Union (EU) decline. Brazil and India are the two top Chinese producers in the world and followed by the European Union after these countries.
An increase due to the weather
Due to favorable weather, sugar production has increased in both countries. The USDA said world sugar production would increase to 8.6 lakh tonnes in 2025-26, to 189.3 lakh tonnes. Consumption is expected to increase to 2.49 lakh tonnes to 177.92 lakh tonnes. The USDA has said that global exports have declined in its global market report that it will be less transported from EU and Thailand. Due to India and China, mainly from 38.31 lakh to 41.18 lakh tonnes last year.
Conversion has increased in India
Last year, the US Agriculture Department rose 25 per cent to 35.3 lakh tonnes in 2025-26 due to a positive climate and increased area in India with 28 lakh tonnes last year. According to the Agriculture Department, the food service sector is on the rise and is expected to increase sugar consumption. With the increase in supply, both exports and stocks have increased.
Behind Europe and America
The Agriculture Department predicts that sugar production will decline in the European Union and US. According to the Agriculture Department, sugar production in the European Union is expected to fall 9 percent. This decline may be due to a decrease in 10 percent in the sugar beat area. In countries such as France and Germany, the Agriculture Department predicts a decrease in production. The Agriculture Department said the change in consumption and stocks was not decreasing compared to last year. Where imports have increased, production has decreased. At the same time, exports are also expected in these countries.
What is China status in the product
China is expected to be less than 8.4 lakh tonnes in the US. At the same time, sugar production in Australia reaches the lowest level of 3.8 lakh tonnes in the decade, which is said to be due to the weather. China’s production in China and Mexico has increased. It has reached 11.5 lakh tonnes in China and 5.4 lakh tonnes in Mexico. The Agriculture Department has expressed the possibility of making the world sugar production to 180.8 lakh tonnes for the year -long marketing year.
