Sprinkler Irrigation: The Rajasthan government is constantly trying to overcome the problem of farmers’ irrigation. In this series, the Sprinkler Irrigation Grant Scheme has been launched, under which the government provides 70 to 75 per cent subsidy to farmers in setting up sprinkler irrigation systems.
What is the Sprinkler Irrigation System?
Sprinkler Irrigation is a modern technology in which water is sprinkled with water in the form of fine drops. From this:
- There is more irrigation in less water
- 50 to 55% of water saves
- Agriculture will be easy in dried areas
The main features of the scheme
- Farmers are subsidized directly to a bank account
- 70% subsidy for ordinary farmers
- 75% subsidy for scheduled castes/tribes, women, small and marginal farmers
- The benefits of the scheme up to a maximum of 5 hectares
- It is mandatory to have a land of 0.2 hectares

Documents required for application
According to the Agricultural Expert Sona Ram, farmers need documents below to apply for this scheme:
1. Jamabandi copy (not more than 6 months)
2. Aadhaar Card/Association card
3. The electricity bill
4. The quotation of Sprinkler Irrigation

How to apply?
To take advantage of Kisan Yojana, you can apply at Raj Kisan Portal:
- Log in with your own SSO ID
- Or take help from the nearest e-Mitra Center
- Scan the documents and upload it on the portal
- Subsidy is stored directly to the account after verification
