On March 28, 2025, United Kisan Morcha (SKM) congratulated thousands of farmers who participated in protests across India, demanding the release of farmers ‘leaders arrested in Punjab and the release of farmers’ leaders in the state. According to reports so far, there have been protests across India, including a large number of people, including women.
SKM welcomed all the farmers who were serving the prison sentence of KMM and SKM (NP) and considered the partial success of the unity of the farmer movement and a large number of farmer opposition across the country. In a press release, India is a democratic country, and citizens here will never allow powerful rulers to suppress democratic rights to oppose citizens using police forces and prisons.

In the SKM press release, “Bhagavant Man Sarkar criticized the ‘Daman’ on peasant movements on the border of Shambu and Khanuri and criticized the central government led by Narendra Modi, which is politically wrong, and the AAM AadMI party is targeting corporate interests and paying huge prices for it.
SKM welcomed the unity of all farmers’ forums and movements on organizing ‘Anti -Refraction Day’ throughout Punjab and India. SKM said, the unity of the peasantry is the cornerstone of any struggle and the success of the movement. The CHM has asked the Punjab Chief Minister Punjab’s Chief Minister not to violate the constitutional rights of the people, to abolish the Bulldozer Raj and to protest peacefully.
Protest on these demands
The disadvantage of agriculture, the beneficial price of agricultural products, freedom from debt and power privatization, will be exacerbated across the country, SKM said. The SKM National Coordinating Committee meeting on March 29, 2025 will immediately decide the future action plan in this regard.

Recently, the Punjab police took several farmer leaders into custody when they returned after a meeting with central government representatives. These leaders include Jagjit Singh Dolliwal and Saravan Singh Pender. Along with these leaders, a total of 800 farmers were taken into custody and later released. Large farmer leaders were released on Friday. SKM celebrated ‘Anti -Daman Day’ in the country on Friday and showed the SIT -in protest in protest.
