Kisan Andlan: The National Coordinating Committee of SKM (Sanjukta Kisan Morcha) has called for a protest against police oppression in Punjab in Punjab on March 28, 2025. The protest is against the destruction and oppression of the Punjab’s Bhagwant Singh Man government.
More than 350 farmer leaders and workers have been arrested by the Punjab police on state government’s instructions, including prominent names such as Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Shravan Singh Pander. In addition, the tents and forums that concern the farmers on the Khanauri and Shambha border were removed from the bulldozers and their tractor trailers, trolleys and other devices were forcibly removed.
SKM workers were arrested
The oppression began on 3 and 4 March 2025, and over 800 SKM workers were arrested across Punjab. Most of these activists include Balbir Singh Rajeval and Ruldu Singh Mansa. The purpose of this arrest and oppression is to block the performance of SKM in Chandiga Ina and a week -long dharna from March 5.
SKM has accused the Punjab government of opposing its opposition against the corporate policies that harm the lives of farmers and their livelihood. On March 5, the Punjab farmers held large -scale peaceful protests across the state and forced Sarkar to release the arrested workers.

Suppressing the Punjab and the central government
The Haryana police closed the borders of Punjab’s Khanuri and Shambu on the orders of the central government, not the concerned farmers. Farmers’ institutions have been struggling for many years with pending demands such as MSP@C2+50% and debt waiver. The SKM said the Narendra Modi -led central government should confirm the beneficial prices of agricultural products and farmers to get rid of the loan burden, as 31 farmers in India commit suicide every day.
Farmers conflict and SKM message
The SKM alleges that the Punjab government is under pressure from corporate forces and ignores the problems of farmers. Punjab shows that peaceful protests will lead to more strong struggles against history around India and the world. SKM believes that the tyrannical governments will eventually be demolished, the Punjab and the central government have the same duty.
The SKM has called for the people of Punjab to unite against the oppression of the police and try to transform Punjab into a police state. On March 28, a large -scale protest will be held in front of the district magistrate’s offices across Punjab.
Protection of farmers’ rights
SKM has urged all farmers and forums to unite against Daman and protect the right to oppose the farmers. If farmers are not united for their rights and do not challenge the ruling governing trends, they will not meet their pending demands. SKM has made it clear that farmers will never surrender to corporate forces and police oppression.
SKM has announced that there will be massive protests against NPFAM (National Peaceful Farmers Movement) with loan waiver to address the MSP @C2+50%, agricultural crisis and other issues.
SKM appealed to all its members to be ready for upcoming conflicts and strengthen the movement.
