32 lakh solar pump target

The scheme not only reduces the cost of irrigation but also provides farmers with additional income. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohanlal Yadav’s government aims to give farmers 32 lakh solar pumps, which will benefit from 90 per cent subsidy.

Farmers will benefit doubled

The solar pump is in two to five horsepowers, which will be subsidized to farmers. Recently, CM Yadav announced it during a farmer and agricultural meeting in Mandsour. He said the government is going to do the farmers itself in electricity. Now farmers make electricity with solar power and running pumps. According to CM, if farmers generate more electricity than necessary, then the state government will buy electricity from them. In addition to this, farmers will be paid it.

The goal is three years old

CM Mohan Yadav said that only 10 per cent of solar pumps would be provided to farmers. Under this scheme, the remaining amount will be made available to farmers for solar pumps up to 5, 3 and 2 horsepower. With this scheme, farmers get freedom from electricity bills. In three years, 32 lakh solar pumps will be given to the farmers. In addition to agriculture, farmers are able to use these pumps at home and other tasks.
