The administration has issued a ban on Section 163 of Indian Civil Protection 2023 to curb stubble burning events. “The order has been issued by burning the damage to the environment and the stubbornness of the common people and animals,” he said.

Prison and fine warning

The case will be registered against those who violate the ban on Section 223 of Section 223 of the Indian Code (ignoring the public servant’s orders). Under this clause, the convicts may be sentenced to a prison for up to a year or fined up to Rs 5,000 or up to two.

Farmers’ organizations have objected to the massive fine imposed on farmers over the stubbornness. Convener Ram Swarup, convener of the United Kisan Morcha in the Malwa-Nimar area of ​​West Madhya Pradesh, said, “We believe it is wrong to burn grass on the fields, but in such cases it is unfair to pay a huge fine.” He demanded that the Agriculture Department visited the villages and make alternative arrangements to destroy the rest of the plant stems in the field.
