To this end, the National President of the All India Food Oil Traders Federation and the National Minister of All India Traders (CAIT) Shankar Thakkar, after Operation Sindoor, has raised the purchase of goods needed by the people needed to buy the necessary goods, but the people have no shortage of food in the country. He made a big appeal to businessmen.
There are plenty of grains and food items in India
Thakkar said the government’s storage was full and there were a lot of goods available in Mandis and shops. So don’t buy in panic. In view of the rising tension at the border, the central government is keeping a strong supervision on the prices of the necessary matters. The government has clearly stated that activities such as hoarding or profit are not tolerated and that strict action will be taken under the Essential Act Act.

The government has informed that the weather department has predicted good rains, which makes it normal for both production and supply. According to the government, the prices of food and beverages were stable in April. In March 2025, the retail inflation rate (CPI) declined to 3.34%, which has been the lowest since August 2019. Shankar Thakkar has appealed to the people not to buy more foods than they need.
There are enough grains and necessary items in the country and the situation is completely under control. To appeal to all the traders, no businessman had to take action against the company or the government not to try to make more profits in irresponsibility.
