In this state the Tur purchase deadline has increased for a month, Rs.7550 per MSP rate

The Government of India has reiterated that 100 per cent of farmers will buy qualified or tur dal at a minimum support price of Rs 7,550 per quintal (MSP). It was repeated at the time of expanding the deadline for buying the center for a month for pulses crops in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the report of ‘Businessline’, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement that the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association Limited (NAFED) and the National Cooperative Consumer Association (NCCF) were in a statement. A total of 3.92 lakh tonnes of tonnes has been collected in these states, which benefited more than 2.56 lakh farmers.
NAFED AND BUY NCCF
Tur is also being purchased from farmers already registered at NUFED’s e-prostration portal and NCCF’s e-disclosure portal. The government is ready to buy 100 % TUR in MSP given to farmers by NAFED and NCCF and is also going on.

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan Kharif has approved the purchase of 13.22 lakh tonnes for 2024-25 to increase the availability of pulses and reduce imports in the country. The minister said in the statement that the purchase period in Andhra Pradesh was approved for 30 days till May 22, for the benefit of the farmers.
Bhava is below MSP
Its prices are running under MSP in all the growing states. The model rate (mostly traded) in different Mandis is at Rs 6,200-7,000 per quintal. Despite the low crop, more imports affect the prices of the Tur. The government has allowed the government to import thur duty free till March 31, 2026.
According to the second prior estimate of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Kharif season crop is estimated to be 3 million tonnes (MT), compared to 34 lakh tonnes last year. The business world hopes to import at least 10 lakh tonnes of tons this year, but consumption is estimated to be 38 lakh tonnes. The last stock of this year is estimated at 3 lakh tonnes, compared to 2.8 lakh tonnes last year.
