109 types of seeds continue
Shivraj Singh said 109 new seeds were released last year to increase production. Our focus is to bring the technology to the land, but we also have boundaries. Other countries produce bumpers from GM seed, but we do not do that. There is a lot of product in other countries, but we have little because we don’t have to play with nature. There should be good seeds, mechanisms and farmers’ capital. We have increased the KCC limit from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. There is also Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to reduce the cost.
Farmers fertilizer cheap
He said the subsidy on fertilizer was Rs 2 lakh 54 thousand crores last year. The Modi government has decided that the DAP Sock will only be available for Rs 1350 and urea sock will be available for Rs 266. Shivraj Singh said the FPO usage was an attempt to reduce the cost of production. He said that the ‘Sangha Shakti’ is the mantra of the FPO. Help of vegetable farmers

Export tariff from onion has been removed
Union Minister Shivraj Singh has said that the onion has 40% export tariff and it has been reduced to 20%.
