Government subsidies on seeds for sesame cultivation, know everything about it
The Government of India has taken several important decisions to promote the cultivation of oilseeds. One of these is the subsidy received by farmers in many schemes, in which they get many benefits. The subsidy comes from the central government, especially the National Food Safety Mission (NFSM) and the OilSeds Mission. Seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, concessions and concessions are available on behalf of the government to promote the production of oilseed crops such as sesame seeds.
How much subsidy is available
The government is constantly encouraging farmers for sesame cultivation. By subsidizing the seeds, the government wants farmers to produce more at a lower cost. If farmers want to take machines (such as thresher, sprayer, power video) for sesame cultivation, they can get 40 to 60 percent subsidy. Many states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh run their special oil beans.
For example, if we are talking about Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in the country, then the Amethi district will get two types of subsidy. 20 to 30 percent subsidy on quality seeds is less than 10 years. 40 % to 50 % subsidy is available in quality seeds over 10 years. Similarly, farmers in Bihar receive up to 80 % subsidy on sesame seeds, which means that only 20 percent should be spent.
What is the purpose of this concession
The goal of these schemes is that farmers should get good quality seeds at cheaper prices. Also, they do not need to invest more for sesame cultivation. Apart from this, the Department of Agriculture also provides training and information from time to time so that farmers can farm with new methods. Many state governments also provide additional subsidy at their level.
The minimum support price (MSP) of the mole (MSP) is consistent to the benefit of farmers from yield. 8,635 per white sesame MSP quintal for the year 2023-24.
