Farmers say the government is thinking about giving bonus speeds in Bihar

The Bihar Government Cooperative Department is busy buying wheat these days. Almost all the wheat crop was cultivated in the fields, but farmers’ vehicles were running towards private traders instead of government warehouses. At the same time, a government shopping car is still trapped in the first gay. The month of April is going to go, but if you look at the data of government wheat collection, it is still away from the target. Tell me that the speed of collection of the Bihar government is also slow due to the tortoise action. Although the tortoise has also reached the goal, this time there is no hope of reaching the target like the previous years.
The situation is that the government is appealing to the farmers to sell wheat through the PACs, but the farmers are in their color. When private traders get a good value from the government rate, why should they sell wheat to the government? If we talk about giving bonus, it can be thought out. This year, the central government has only said that the minimum support price (MSP) has been increased by Rs 150.

This section agree that farmers are getting more value from the private market, which is beneficial to them. But in other states and in Bihar, the government is silent on the implementation of bonus on wheat. However, in early April, intermittent rains influenced the quality of wheat, which reduced the price of wheat in the private market.
The Minister appeals to wheat sales
Cooperation Minister Dr Prem Kumar has appealed to the state farmers to sell their wheat to the MSP. He said the government was buying wheat from farmers and paying their nominated bank account within 48 hours. The minister has informed that the districts of the state and its high -ranking panchayats are encouraged to sell wheat in fixed MSP. At the same time, farmers who have sold wheat to the government during the Corona period are also encouraging them by contacting them. However, in view of the current situation, the minister is confident that the goal will be achieved this time.
Half of the target has passed, wheat still bought away
This year, wheat is sown in about 25 lakh hectares in Bihar and produced about 84 lakh tonnes of wheat. This year, Rohtas, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, Baxar, Bhojpur, Sivan, Gaya, Saran, Nalanda, Samastipur, Sasarami, Sasaram, Gopalganj, Ura Rangabad, Pattisarayi, Patna, Darbha and other districts will be purchased. At the same time, the collection of wheat started in the state from April 1, which runs until June 15. But until the news came, the Cooperative Department bought 2314.383 metric toot wheat only from 1265 farmers. This year’s target is 2 lakh metric tons.

The highest purchases in these districts
According to the data of the cooperative department, so far 302.100 metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased from 186 farmers from 186 farmers. In the West, 260 committees bought 170.05 MT from 45 farmers from 45 farmers and East Champaran 306 committees from the East Champaran 306 committees. At the same time, brown shopping has not yet been started by many packs.
The opinion of farmer and pack members
PACS president Dhirendra Kumar of Belwara Panchayat in Dargha district said that farmers are selling wheat to private traders. Merchants are going to the fields and buying wheat from farmers. He said the price of wheat in the private market was Rs 2,500 to Rs 2600 per quintal and the government support price was Rs. Karun Shankar of Patna district said the price of wheat was Rs 100 per quintal due to rain. They say that if the state government gives a 20 per cent bonus on the MSP, farmers will sell their wheat to the government.
