Earning peanuts like a rocket, 50 thousand per acre
There is a proverb, if there is a desire to learn and do, nothing is impossible for man. The proverb is accurate to make agriculture a crop in the barren land of Supal District in Bihar. In fact, in the village of Samda in the Supal district, farmers have made a barren land of waste land by cultivating peanuts with labor and dedication. Farmers here grow peanuts on 12 to 13 acres. At the same time, this number has reached 100 acres in the total block. Please tell me that nowadays, farmers are growing with peanuts along with maize, vegetables and other crops. To make this farm possible, farmers have embraced the peanuts as a description, which increased the breeding of the soil and the farmers, and now the bumper benefits at a low cost.
Farmers’ triple earnings
Due to the cultivation of peanuts, the income of the farmers has increased three times. Farmers Mohan Mandal, Behan Mandal, Ashok Mandal, Chandan Mandal, Santosh Sharma, Pawan Kumar Yadav, Sadanand Sharma, Shamshar and Sanda village, Suraj Sharma of Sanda village, said that the farmers have now cultivated maize. Earlier, farmers said that the yield of maize is 24 to 25 quintals per acre, which has now increased to 48 to 50 quintals per acre. At the same time, farmers earn 50 to 60 thousand rupees per acre from peanuts, in which this cost is only Rs 15,000.
Promotion for agriculture
Kundan Kumar, the sub -department of Veerpur, said that peanuts are being promoted under government schemes. Under this, the government has given 12 quintals of certified seeds to 40 farmers from Samda village. In addition, farmers are being trained from time to time.

Farmer Mohan Mandal said they had no information about sophisticated seeds or agriculture. But now the seeds, technology and training from the Department of Agriculture. For this reason, crops are improving and income is growing. At the same time, peanuts are also beneficial for health. It contains protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. It is used in foods, oil, fodder and industrial products. This agriculture gives raw materials to local industries.
