The scheme of dairy production, livestock and dairy of the Union Ministry is in many discussions these days. There are many works under this scheme for Dairy. The particular thing is that the scheme is being discussed in the dairy sector. No matter why, because of this scheme, India has been the first in milk production for the past few years. Last year, milk production reached 24 million tonnes. Dairy production is growing every year. Animal milk production is also increasing.
The scheme is the National Gokul Mission (RGM). Dairy experts say that there were two big things under the scheme. One animal race improves improvement and the other increases dairy production. And for both, artificial insemination and sachs are running effective schemes such as Seaman, which are sorted, which are constantly moving towards success.

- Dairy production in the country increased from 14.60 million tonnes in 2014-15 to 23.90 million tonnes in 2023-24. There has been an increase of 63.55 percent in the last 10 years.
- The total productivity of Bovin animals in the country is 1640 kg per year in 2014-15. In the year 2023-24, the animal increased to 2072 kg per year. There was an increase of 26.34 percent during this period.
- The productivity of the indigenous and prudent Gopasus in 2014-15 is 927 kg per year. In the year 2023-24, the animal increased to 1292 kg per year. This increased by 39.37 percent.
- The productivity of buffaloes increased from 1880 kg per year to 2161 kg in 2023-24 in 2014-15. This increased by 14.94 percent.
This is happening to improve ethnicity and increase milk production
- Under this scheme, the livestock and dairy department runs artificial insemination programs to promote milk production and sowing animals. So far, 8.32 crore animals have been covered. 12.20 crore artificial insemination, which benefited 5.19 crore farmers.
- Under this program, high genetic quality bulls, including the bulls of indigenous species, should be produced. Under this, Gopashu Gir, Sahiwal Racial, Buffalo’s Murra and Mehsana are working for the race.
- At the same time, according to the ethnic selection program, Gopashu’s Rathi, Tarparkar, Haryana, Kankraj race and Buffalo’s Jafarabadi, Neely Ravi, Pandharpuri and Bunny species are included. Now
