Bihar Animal Science University Convocation Celebration: 8 students get a gold medal, governor’s new journey

On Thursday, the Energy Auditorium ended the third convocation of the Bihar Veterinary University in Patna. Bihar Governor and University Chancellor Arif Mohammed Khan, three major subsidiaries of the university, Bihar Veterinary College, Patna; Sanjay Gandhi’s Institute of Technology, Patna and Fisheries College in Kishanjj have given a degree to 265 students. At the same time, the governor said that it was not only the day of education, but that it was a new responsibilities and opportunities. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University Dr Indrajit Singh informed the governor about the achievements and future schemes of the university. Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh was also present at the event.

Addressing the students, Bihar Governor and University Chancellor Arif Mohammed Khan said that students who have received degrees from here today will work in various fields. Some students do jobs, but I want to tell them that they should go ahead with the purpose of taking jobs, but to give them jobs. The convocation is not just the end, it is to start a new journey. Today the country expects not only education but also leadership, which is known as knowledge, value -based and dedicated leadership to the country.

University has achieved many places in seven years
The Governor said in his speech that Bihar Veterinary University has achieved very important achievements in the seven years of Patna founded. The university is making continuous progress towards its goals and is now in the country’s leading zoo organizations. There have been many admirable tasks in the fields of education, research and research. The Sahiwal race calves born with fetal transplant technology will help eliminate the absence of national cows of the state in the state in the coming days.
Agriculture and Livestock: The spine of rural economy
Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh said that the livestock sector is not only affiliated agricultural activities but also for the livelihood of millions of people, it is a primary source of livelihood, malnutrition, women’s empowerment medium and eradication of poverty. This also contributes to the country’s GDP (GDP) significantly. According to the recently released 20th livestock census (2019), the total number of livestock in India is 535 million. The world’s largest milk production capacity has crossed 220 million tonnes. In 2023-24, Bihar set a new record by producing 1.5 million metric tonnes of milk. The state has a special place on the national map in terms of goat breeding, seafood production and pork farming.
University students are achieving new wins every day
Dr Indrajit Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bihar Animal Sciences, said the University held the highest standards of educational discipline and quality in graduation and postgraduate programs. Of the 27 students of BFSC Final Year 21, 21 have passed the National Level ICAR IIA 2024 examination, of which 5 have also received ICAR-JRF fellowships. This is a clear evidence of the institute’s excellent educational system and guidance. The university considers the lack of human resources associated with livestock, poultry agriculture and fisheries in the state. With this in mind, BAC will be launched in the Poultry Science, Diploma and Certificate Course in the clinical and parachlinical subjects of the Bihar government.

8 students got gold and 265 students got degrees
For excellent educational performance at the university, B. Tech Dairy Technology, Veterinary Sciences and Veterinary Sciences and Veterinary Veterinary Livestock (BVSC & AH) Akriti Kumari, Akarksha Masum, Bachelor of Fisheries Science Barka, Pragati Asthana (MVS). In addition, 46 of the degree students include graduate Dairy Technology, 103 Veterinary Science and 55 Fisheries Sciences. At the same time, in the postgraduate course, the dairy’s 04 students and 53 students were given degrees. Apart from this, 04 researchers have received a doctorate under the PhD program.
