Similar programs are taken in these areas, whose purpose is to become self -sufficient in tulip cultivation and sale. Agricultural University Srinagar has launched these projects as a research initiative. The objective of the Agricultural University is to eliminate relying on European countries such as the Netherlands in Belgium and creating indigenous tulip banks to import toolips. It not only provides a tulip crop to the Srinagar Tulip Festival but also helps in creating the Tulip Garden in other places in the valley.
