ADG (Law and Order) Javed Shamim said the necessary action would be taken against those involved in the procession with weapons. He said, “The state of the state is quiet and there is not even an incident that disrupts law and order.

ADG said we would investigate with CCTV footage and decide to take action later. He said the additional sorting of security forces would continue for the next 24 hours, after which the security personnel would be stopped only in those districts where the procession was released. It depends on the situation, but the sequence of the security forces will continue until April 12.

He said security has been tightened in the entire state, as a large number of police have been used. Haura, Parakpur, Chandanagar, Asansol-Thurkapur, Siliguri, Islamur, Howrah Rural, Murshidabad and Kooch Behar districts are recognized as ‘sensitivity’. Senior police officers have been deployed in important places.

On Sunday morning, the ceremony began with colorful processions, ‘Jai Sri Ram’ and the riotous protests of devotion, in which thousands of devotees gathered in the streets of the state, shaken saffron flags, read devotional music and portray a large table. Armed rallies were taken out with swords and messages in many places.

According to Hindutva groups, more than 2 thousand Ramnavami rallies were held in West Bengal, with more than 60 of them in Kolkata. About 6,000 police personnel were stopped by drones, CCTV surveillance and rapid response groups in key areas. The administration implemented unprecedented security arrangements to maintain peace.

Bengal BJP leader Sukand Majumdar participated in a rally in Shipur, Haura, while MP. In New Town, near Kolkata, BJP leader Lackett Chatterjee’s rally was stopped with police after the rally was stopped.

Despite the objections, he tried to progress. During this time, party leader Arjun Singh was on the spot. A similar impediment took place in Kishtopur, but Chatterjee continued the parade. TMC MLA Sha Uk Kat Molla attended the Ram Navami rally in Bangkok, and the ABVP supporters organized the Ram Pooja inside the Jadhavpur University.
