Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, was elected president of the Congress in the 1924 Belgaum session. One hundred years after the Mahatma Gandhi Congress was elected president, the Congress is going to organize a national convention on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Gujarat. This two -day national session of the Congress will begin on April 8, which is named ‘Nia Path’. Congress leader Mallikarjun Carge, former President Sonia Gandhi and Opposition Rahul Gandhi will also attend the session.

This is the first time the Congress’s national session is held in Gujarat 64 years. The Congress expects more than two thousand leaders to join this session. Gujarat is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the two are associated with the Congress. With the heritage of these strong leaders, the Congress party has prepared a structure for a two -day event.

According to the information, the two -day session will begin on April 8th from 11 am. In this session, many political resolutions will be passed so that the party’s political direction will be decided. On the first day of the national session, there is a plan of Congress leaders to go to the Gandhi Ashram. At 5 pm on April 8, Congress leaders will go to the Gandhi Ashram and join the Bajan-Kirtan.

Cultural events will be organized at night, including Mallika Sarabhai and other artists will offer folk art shows such as Thandia, Karba and Adivasi Dance. According to information received from Congress leaders, Gujarati food will be arranged for all guests. The party believes that this session will lead to a way to return to power in the state.

Congress spokesman Pawan Kedha said the national session was named as the Naya Path. The Congress will follow the path of justice and get public support. He said that the manner in which Congress worked hard for independence, the party would work hard in Gujarat and return to power.
