The European Commission states that Portuguese governments are not effective in response to the home sector crisis, and that lace control or local shelters are imposing limits or firm measures.
In a statement released on Wednesday, quoted General newspaperBrussels admit that the subsequent governments did not meet the targets set by the subsequent governments regarding the provision of houses built using the funds of the Recovery and Backback (PRRR) program.
Antonio Costa assured 26,000 houses in housing, by 2026, and by 2026, Louis Montenegro has added 33,000 apartments by 2030, but so far, 1950 houses have been provided.
In terms of this situation, it recommends the government’s control of the income, and the most strict limitations for local shelters in areas where the pressure is high, the public and private assets are increasing, increasing the distribution of public and private assets, and expanding the “housing first” policy (first, in a direct translation), a person with a home can easily grow to the condition of a home.
“Over the last decade, home prices have been rising sharply on Portugal sales and lease,” the public quoted report states. The document also points out that housing is “widely inaccessible” for young people, vulnerable groups and low and middle income.
Immunizations
The European Commission decides that the actions of the last governments by Luice Montenegro and Antonio Costa have failed to respond to a long -term crisis and are the immune system proposed to a structural problem. An example of this is tax deductions and public guarantee for young people in buying the first house. According to Brussels, the impact of these activities is “yet not found in the lower and medium yield layers”. The Commission considers that subsidies implemented by the Costa government in 2023, such as extraordinary support for income, have an immediate effect, but not “proper solutions.”
Some of the measures now recommended by Brussels were foretold in the most household package published by the last administrator of Antonio Costa, but many eventually canceled by Louis Montenegro, that is, the limits of local shelters and the compulsory lease of houses in the vacant houses.
In a statement now, the European Commission stated that the Portuguese government expects a new strategy to be presented to the housing area, and that there should be solutions for the increase in the population.
