The Union Minister also spoke with the growing farmers of Lichi. He said that Litchi would be spoiled quickly and that the farmers would not get the right price. To solve this problem, there are suggestions to increase the number of cold storage and research on new methods, so that Litchy can stay fresh for a long time and farmers can get good prices.
The effect of ethanol policy in corn production
Chauhan said maize cultivation in Bihar has grown rapidly. Earlier corn production was 23-24 quintals per hectare, which has now increased to 50-60 quintals. Corn is now used in ethanol production, which has also increased its price.

Prioritize new types of rice and sophisticated seeds
The Agriculture Minister has informed that two new types of rice has been developed with 20% less water and 30% higher. He instructed scientists to develop sophisticated seeds and work on high yields.

Chauhan says Bihar farmers have small farms, but they are raising gold from the ground with hard work. He said that the efforts and government schemes of the farmers would push Bihar in agriculture.
