Patna Airport got a new terminal, PM at the International Airport in Bihta

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday opened the new terminal building of the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna and laid the foundation stone of the new International Airport to be built in Bihta in the suburbs of the city.
According to the report, the new terminal of the Patna Airport will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore, while the Civil Enklav will be constructed at the Bihta airport at a cost of Rs 1,410 crore. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Central Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhry and Vijay Kumar Sinha were also present.
Prime Minister Modi shared the post on X (East Twitter), ‘Patna Airport got a modern terminal! This is a good sign of the progress of Bihar.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the two projects would encourage the state’s airline and tourism sector. He wrote, ‘This will accelerate economic growth and the overall progress of the state.’
Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhry described this as a historical moment for Bihar, which would give new economic strength not only to Bihar but to the entire East India. Civil Aviation Minister Naidu said, “The airline in Bihar has really flew today.”
He said that the new terminal has international facilities, and that it is capable of handling 3,000 passengers and 1 crore passengers a day. Its design is attracted by Mithila art and regional environment.

At the same time, the area of the airport terminal building proposed in BiHTA is 68,000 square meters and has the ability to handle 50 lakh passengers by 2047. The premises will have a multi -level parking, service building, energy efficient roof system, LED lamp and temperature control.
These projects will create new opportunities for tourism, business, investment and employment in the state. In addition, the likelihood of investing in areas such as education and hygiene will also increase, causing Patna to become an economic center.
